Peels Treatment

A) What is a Peel treatment ?

Peels are a commonly sought-after cosmetic procedure in dermatology clinics for enhancing skin appearance and texture. They function by eliminating the top layer of dead skin cells, unveiling a smoother, radiant and rejuvenated skin surface.
There are several types of peels available including superficial, medium and deep peels, each with varying levels of intensity and downtime.Superficial peels are gentle and effective for addressing minor skin issues such as acne, fine lines and skin tone irregularities.
Medium peels are more intense and can address deeper wrinkles, sun damage and pigmentation issues. Deep peels are the most aggressive and are typically reserved for severe skin issues such as deep wrinkles and scars. Chemical peels are a type of peel that use a chemical solution to remove the outermost layer of skin.Chemical peels are effective for addressing various skin issues such as acne, fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and irregular skin tone.
Peels can be performed on the face, neck, chest and hands and are typically administered by a trained dermatology professional. After the peel, patients may experience some redness, peeling and flaking, but these side effects usually subside within a few days to a week.
